Splendid Weekend

I’m at Miri now, spending another weekend outside of KL with my sayang.. I’ve scheduled for a meeting with a company in Miri on Friday and chose to take an extra day off on Monday as I still have quite a number of cuti left. Me & Suzie (she’s also having another meeting in Miri) arrived at Miri Airport at 11pm and were picked up by my sayang. After sending Suzie to Mega Hotel, we head back to Imperial hotel where both of us are staying at.

After the meeting ended in the morning, I went back to my room and continued to sleep (I’m a bed dweller :P) while waiting for berbuka puasa. My sayang chose to cook for me today and I went up to his apartment for iftar. Surprisingly, he served me with Ikan Bawal Tiga Rasa and Chicken Curry! The taste was marvellous (tapi lupa nak ambik gamba, sibuk melantak). For a guy who can cook better than me, I love you lah!! (Aku sniri pun tak pandai masak sangat..he he he)

On Saturday, we visited Miri Craft Center looking for Miri stuffs. We tried the traditional blowing dart a.k.a. sumpit! Agak semput la nk tiup tuh.. The one we tried uses the bigger version dart board and of course it has bulls eye too! Since both of us are dart freak, we aimed for the bulls eye.. We then went back to the hotel and had the leftover chicken curry and telur bistik for iftar.

After iftar, we planned to visit the Grand Old Lady, which is the first oil well drilled in Malaysia. It was first discovered by Shell in 1970s (if im not mistaken.. ha ha). But I guess I came during the monsoon and Miri was poured with heavy rain. We toured Miri City and completed the tour within 1 hour!

On Sunday, we tried our luck again to visit the GOL but to no avail. I managed to snap a few pictures with raindrops effect. Sebelum tuh dah blasah ambik gamba perasan dr bilik.. Bf tersayang la jadik mangsa kena snap pic.. hihi.. Since Miri is forever raining, we decided to kill time at Bintang Plaza a.k.a Miri Pavillion (ni je la yang paling best pun in Miri). Parking was extremely bad. They have construction going on & the whole basement was flooded with air hujan + cement! Euww! The locals' parking skills are terrible gak! They parked as if the lot belongs to them. I tried to snap a few pic but the lighting was bad... maybe next time...

Grand Old Lady..

We have paprika ayam for our last iftar together. I’m going to back to KL tomorrow & for sure there’s nothing much that we can do tomorrow as he’s working....

Oh sedih.. nak balik KL dah........
